who we are
we are dedicated to improving the lives of pets in the under served East Oakland community
Connie believes in the power of pets and pet loving people to transform and transcend hard times. She grew up in a pet loving family that let her keep a cat who appeared in a store aisle, but only after the cat accompanied them to get ice cream. Connie holds the memory of her beloved cat, Squeaky, whom she rescued at 10 days old, in her heart and memory as she helps the East Oakland community.
Sandy believes pets are part of the family, too, and she steps up for the underdog! She helped save the life of a severely hurt German Shepherd and a terrified Chihuahua scheduled to die in a shelter. Sandy holds the memory of Gizmo, her beloved Pomeranian, in her heart and memory as she helps the East Oakland community.
"I am in favor of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being."
